Balloons, Puppets, Gospel Illusions, Skits, and more – This is what you have to look forward to when you visit us during our children’s programs. Brother Dustin makes learning about the Bible easy to understand and fun with something new nearly every time you come. You will learn wonderful things about God, His Word, and how to follow Him every day whether it’s at Church, school, or even at home. Every child is loved and welcomed, and everyone will have a great time as we discover more about our Savior together.
Sunday Service
For a child at Shady Grove, Sunday morning services start off with exciting songs and competitive Scripture memory. A ventriloquist and balloon artist, our children’s pastor delivers messages that are eye- catching and interactive in order to help children understand Biblical principles and lessons. From illusions and puppets, to stories and games, Sunday mornings are filled with fun and with the Scriptural nourishment that children need for following our Lord Jesus!
Wednesday Service
Children come to the Wednesday Service and begin by gathering into teams to study a Bible lesson together. During the course of the evening the teams assemble for songs and a time for Scripture memorizing. The preaching time during Little Grove is one of the highlights of the week, and is usually accompanied by a skit performed by the teachers, or with a puppet performance. Little Grove Wednesday service is a wonderful time for kids to get together for fellowship and learning more about the Bible!
Kids Kollege
Yes, a Bible Institute designed especially for children! On Friday evenings, students can come for an in-depth and challenging journey through the Old and New Testaments. Kids’ Kollege is a more thorough and detailed study of the Scriptures than our other children’s ministries, but it is also a relaxed and interactive discussion of the Bible that students really enjoy. For children that want to learn more about the Bible, Kid’s Kollege will provide them with just that opportunity!
Our Children's Pastor Dr. Dustin Williams, and his wife Mrs. Allix
Dr. Dustin Williams began ministering and preaching to children in the year 2000. He graduated from Freedom Bible College and Seminary with a Master’s Degree in Christian Education and later acquired his D.Min from The Florida Bible Institute and Seminary. Bro Dustin has also worked in emergency services as both an EMT and in serving his community as a volunteer firefighter. His sermons are filled with Scriptural truths and at the same time are fun and exciting.
His wife Allix Williams served as a missionary in the country of Sri Lanka before she married Bro Dustin and became part of the work at Shady Grove Baptist Church. She is an artist, speaks two foreign languages, and spends a great deal of her time helping with the children’s ministry at our church. Allix also holds a B.A. In Bible Ministry from PUPBI. God has blessed their family with three wonderful children, Evelyn, Alan, and Russel.
